Youth Ministry works to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of
each young person; and to draw young people to responsible participation in the
life, mission and work of the faith community. Marty contracts with parishes to provide consultation and implementation for Total Youth Ministry, for Middle School and High School Youth. Marty has provided numerous youth retreats and workshops for youth and adults in the Archdiocese of Portland since 1979. He was employed as a Pastoral Associate: Coordinator Of Family Ministry, Religious Education & Youth Ministry at St. Frederic Parish, in St. Helens, from July 1986 - June 1992; and, as a Director Of Religious Education and Youth & Young Adult Ministry, for St. Joseph Church, Roseburg, Oregon, August 1982 - June 1986. He currently has a limited contract with Queen of Peace Church in Salem. In previous positions, Marty has been responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating multifaceted social, spiritual, educational, and service programs for pre-school through adult; communication and promotion of all related activities and programs; teaching and facilitating Middle & Senior High Youth Groups; adult education; preaching; presiding at worship services; recruiting, training, and coordinating youth and adult volunteers; assessing needs of middle and senior high youth, and adults; developing, managing, evaluating, and presenting parish budgets. Marty continues to provide consultation to other parishes and ministers developing youth ministry and/or family ministry programs. |
